What purpose does it serve?

We have to define accomplishment and what it means to us individually. For example, maybe you're struggling with a loved one dealing with an addiction, maybe there are financial challenges, or perhaps some personal health challenges. Successful outcomes are determined by our efforts to focus on the essential tasks first.

Before you spend your time on anything, ask yourself this before you devote your energy. What positive purpose will it serve?

Your life is too precious to waste on negativity, complaining and worrying, resentment, and anger. Occasionally, those things can spur you to positive action, but they merely squander your time most of the time.

Be intentional about your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Select the things that push the world forward, lift your life, and bring fulfillment and joy.

Jump into those actions you have a good, positive reason to do. Live your life in a way that resonates with your deepest values.

Stop yourself from reacting out of habit in ways that don't do anyone any good. Instead, look ahead to the consequences, and enable yourself to choose the best ones.

Every day is brimming with opportunities to live and act in the service of what's essential.

Choose to serve a positive purpose in each moment and transform those opportunities into a rich and rewarding life.
