And now, weeks later, something has settled into my bones that wasn’t there before.
A quieter awareness.

This… is life after the awakening.
Pain
This is for anyone who has walked away from a moment that could have ended everything. The diagnosis that made time feel sharper. The accident that left you trembling. The loss that broke your voice. The moment you thought you had more time, and learned instead that you didn’t.
This is for those learning to live again — not the same as before, but with new eyes and a softer heart.

The way you say “I love you” without hesitation.

The way December air feels a little colder… and a little clearer.
And then life gave me another moment — watching my son get married days after coming home from the hospital.
Still sore.
Still healing.
Still alive.
Seeing Michael standing tall, seeing Priyanka smiling, seeing two families blend just weeks later around the Thanksgiving table…
This was the miracle inside the miracle.
The reminder that life doesn’t just continue — it expands.
